COVID-19 and Chichester Cottage

Hygiene and cleanliness have always been a priority for Chichester Cottage, and even more in the current climate of the pandemic. The safety of our guests is paramount and we want to reassure all of you booking with us that in line with Government guidance, we have made changes and so have procedures in place to protect everyone, guests, hosts and staff.

Should you develop any Covid-19 symptoms, between the time that you book and your planned arrival date, we politely ask that you cancel your booking with us and we will do our best to move your stay to a future date. It is equally important that you notify us as soon as possible if you should develop any symptoms during or after your stay.

What measures have we put in place to keep everyone safe?

  • Our check in time is now from 4.30pm and check out on or before 9.30am. This allows for thorough and additional cleaning between guests.
  • The property is fully ventilated between each booking.
  • All non-essential items such as board games, books, cushions etc are removed to minimise touch points.
  • Complimentary toiletries and basic kitchen condiments have been removed for the duration of the pandemic.
  • We now provide extra cleaning supplies and antibacterial hand gel – please do not remove these from the cottage.
  • We ensure that we use disinfectants approved by global health agencies – including sanitising fogs between each booking.
  • Every room is cleaned following very extensive check lists, including every surface and high-touch points (such as door handles, cupboard handles, light switches, remote controls).
  • PPE is worn throughout the whole cleaning process and safely disposed of at the end of each clean.  New PPE equipment is always used for each clean.
  • All bed linen and towels are professionally washed at high temperatures.
  • The Cottage has an NHS COVID QR code which guests are invited to scan.
