Rates and Prices – what we charge for a visit
Our rates vary depending on the season. They are £450 per week in the low season and £750 per week upwards in the high season. Rates are reviewed annually, but if you want to be sure of securing a price, for example for next year, we will honour the price displayed on the website at the time your deposit is received.
We also offer a newly built Shepherd’s Hut with all modern conveniences at £70 per night.

The first night’s deposit is required at the time of booking. Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of the deposit.
If you need to cancel or change your reservation, be sure to let us know as soon as possible. Your deposit may be refunded up to 2 weeks prior to your stay.
Check-in is after 4pm; check-out no later than 10 o’clock to allow us to get the cottage ready for the next visitors.
Hornbeam Cottage is available all year round. It is 4 miles from Chichester and 5 miles from Goodwood. The Festival of Speed and The Revival are major international motoring events and you will need to book early, but always try as we could have a cancellation.

The pretty country towns of ARUNDEL and PETWORTH are nearby and THE SOUTH DOWNS NATIONAL PARK. Several SAILING CLUBS are within a mile or two of Chichester and the beaches at THE WITTERINGS and BRACKLESHAM BAY are only 5-6 miles south of Hornbeam Cottage on the coast.
BIRD WATCHING at PAGHAM HARBOUR is wonderful too.
BOSHAM is only 2 miles away with its lovely harbour and pub, The Anchor Bleu, and of course its famous church near to the spot where King Canute parted the waves. His daughter Haresfoot is buried here.
